The Reverse End at 5
by Jenus Baumecker, 14 AUG 2025
A few days ago I listened to my ambient mix „The Reverse End“ for the first time in a very long while and – five years after it‘s release – I am still immensely proud of how it turned out. It took me many weeks to collect ideas and tracks for it and to construct the mix in my mind. It was then recorded live in one take on a 4-channel mixer without any post edits. Some of the transitions still give me goosebumps today. For me this mix has become a (nearly 3 hour long) story that awakes many memories I revisit when I listen to it – some fundamental experiences and truths I learned along my way in life and music.
In total this mix has now been listened (in)to over 3000 times across the four platforms (soundcloud, mixcloud, youtube & formaviva) where it is available to stream – a great achievement for me, considering it was the first major mix I promoted only by myself through the Agemoworos blog, without any hosting or support from other bigger music blogs/labels/mags. I felt very free working on it and wanted to record a truly personal idea of how I enjoy listening to ambient and experimental music. The few more commercial takes present in my previous „Inverted Audio“ and „Metamorphosis“ mixes have now given way to a much more intimate and heartfelt selection of music.
Happy 5th birthday to „The Reverse End“, which is still heading into the opposite direction from where I once thought all things are destined to go. There is a more beautiful place… Life is a trip and to enjoy it you should be your true self and maybe love that loves will be your reward. The last but one song is dedicated to my dear husband Andreas, I give love or take love to you, x.
Here on the Agemoworos mix page, you can listen and find the full tracklist (in order, but not time stamped as this was heavily mixed, often with 2, 3 or even 4 tracks playing simultaneously.

about this mix
I’m currently in the lucky position to have no professional ties and to be completely independent and this has resulted in one of the most personal collection of tracks i have shared. The mix is basically something i recorded for myself to listen to on my headphones in private.
